Markets Every day of the week, there is in the Provence a special market to buy: pottery, clothing, tablelinnen and typical 'Provence' fabrics, aromatic oils and soaps. But also vegetables, fruits, herbs, cheese, sausages and fish are very common. Besides that there are a lot of markets were you can buy antiques. In the summer the prices for antiques are high, but if you look carefully.......... Also parties held in villages (Fêtes Votives) are very nice to visit and be part of. In the summer, many of them are organised with a 'jeu de boules' tournament, a good meal (repas champetre) and dancing in the evening with live music. |
